Satellite Direct Exposed
48A review of what you actually get.
Free TV streams have been around for quite some time now, available either through the channel's own sites, or massed together at free link sites with tons of different channels. What they have in common though, is that they are all freely accessible on the web. The drawback is that most of these channels are local ones or small niche channels, and the picture quality is generally far from that on your tv set.
Not that long ago several services claiming to offer tons of channels (often claiming to be in HD quality) for a minor one time fee started to pop up like mushrooms on a damp autumn evening. Perhaps the most fiercely promoted of these is one called Satellite Direct. The most common way it is being promoted is by resellers (or affiliates) who pretend to review the service, giving it top marks on all aspects, while finishing the review with their reseller link and hence earning money each time a visitor reads the review and decides to go for it.
What I have done is trying out the service and giving it a fair review, and while I am not going to go through all the details here, I can start off with giving away that in it is basically a piece of junk. I rated it 1 out of 5. Basically few major channels are included, and picture quality is for the most part dreadful. They make you pay for exactly the same channels that are available for free at various legal streaming link sites on the web.
